Curated from a series of photographs taken in 1974, Chester’s images offer a glimpse into the pre-Aids era in San Francisco. A recent art school graduate, Chester collected portraits and stories – focusing her lens on courtiers, lovers and flirts.  The work is an exploration of identity in a unique moment of time.
